eCluster use a variety of scanning, digitising, reverse
engineering and CAD systems to create 3D CAD models from parts,
prototypes or tooling.
We can quickly and easily scan objects using a variety of contact
and non contact technologies to create fully surfaced 3D CAD models,
we can the go on to modify the CAD data as required and produce
tooling, parts or prototypes from these CAD models.
Laser Scanning
A laser scanner projects a thin strip of low power laser light
onto the surface of the object. A digital camera records the light
as it is reflected from the surface. The relative positions of the
light source and camera are known. This allows the surface of an
object to be mapped as a series of 3D data points, called a 'point
cloud'. The scanners are portable and recording can be done in
almost any location.
Lemoine and CMM Digitising
Surface digitising of parts and tooling using PC-DMIS and our
Brown & Sharpe CMM facility and also via Lemoine software
through our CNC machines.
CAD Surface Modeling
CAD Surface Modeling of scanned data turning point data intro
fully surfaced CAD models which can be supplied in any format back
to the customer or go on to be used for manufacture of parts,
tooling etc..
